Patio

The client wanted a spacious patio in their backyard. A place where they could entertain, relax, dine and have a fire. The 17'x30' space is planned out to allow ample space for getting around all areas of the patio without bumping into furniture. The neutral colors allows for colorful accessories like a rain gauge and flower pots.

The loveseat anchors the seating area while the two swivel chairs allow movement for different views. The bench can be added for more guests.

Adding accessories personalizes the space. A soft lighthouse wind chime gives a relaxing sound and completes the nautical feeling the family wanted.

Landscaping lights and bushes outline the patio's border and transition to the grass.

The yellow bike rain gauge adds another pop of color and character to the patio.

Planning

Planning

It's important to stake out the area for the patio. This gives you an idea of the size and where you want it.

The before picture

Such a dramatic change! Adding a door gave another entrance to the patio as well easy access to the garage.

We wanted a neutral color for the pavers. A light gray paver will compliment many colors. Having a neutral color allows more freedom with colors for furniture and accessories. This is a 90 degree herringbone pattern.
